Roger Ashby has previously served as an Advisor to the Gatsby Trust to advise universities on technology transfer. He served as an Executive-in-Residence at Ariadne Capital Ltd. He has experience in starting technology businesses, particularly those arising from university research. Mr. Ashby began his career in the petrochemical industry as a Project Manager responsible for turnkey construction contracts and was later appointed as a Development Director of Renwick. He also co-founded Dove Energy Limited. Among many posts involving the use of innovative technologies including Royal Dutch Shell, and Dove Energy of which he was a Founding Director, he was also Founder of Satellite Technologies Systems, the European partner for Satcom Inc., and founder director of Kymata, a manufacturer of fibre optics.
Alan Bowen is an entrepreneurial company director with an extensive career in growing businesses. He has had experience in developing business in many different sectors as a management consultant. Mr. Bowen was CEO of NSS Newsagents, a chain of 500 stores and handled the eventual sale of that business. Prior to this, he served within the UK as a graduate trainee for Unilever before moving into retailing with British Shoe Corporation, part of the Sears Group. Mr. Bowen is a graduate in Mathematics from Birmingham University (UK).
